When are you open?


State Law regulates our business hours. Big Country Liquor is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. We are required to be closed on Sundays, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Where is the Coors, Miller and Budweiser?

Liquor Stores are only permitted to sell full strength beer in Oklahoma. Coors, Bud, and Miller do not carry high point beer in this state. Those brands and the brands they own or control are low point alcohol only and are sold in grocery and convenience stores. (It’s a corporate/money/franchising thing)  Budweiser is currently offering flavored varieties in high point and other offerings come along periodically so stop by or give us a call to check on your favorites.  

Where is your cold (high point) beer?


State law prohibits refrigeration of products in a liquor store. That covers wine as well. Best we can do is first thing in the morning during winter months when the delivery trucks have just unloaded.  A cold ride from the warehouse does a pretty good job of cooling the product.

Can I bring my infant child inside with me?


Unfortunately it is illegal to bring them inside. The law is very clear on this one- No One Under 21 Years Of Age. Period. Buying or not. Sleeping in a stroller. Turning 21 tomorrow. If a person is not 21 they cannot come in. We will be fined, you and the child will be arrested/fined.  

Can I get wine glasses, flask, shaker, ice and other supplies from you?


Sorry, the law in Oklahoma only lets us sell alcohol. Therefore no glassware, supplies, non alcoholic mixers, bar tools, ice, and the like. (Exception is a gift set packaged from the manufacturer with gift pack selling for same price as bottle without gift provided).  Simple guideline:  If it does not contain alcohol, we cannot sell it.     


What about your mixers?  I've seen some of them in the grocery store.


Same brand, but our mixers contain 1% alcohol to make it legal for us to sell.  Theirs contains no alcohol.    

Do you have frequent buyer program?


We do offer pre-order and case volume discounts; however, the law does not permit what it considers to be an inducement to purchase additional booze.  This currently includes (and is not limited to) 'buy one, get one' programs unless packaged as such by the manufacturer, and 'punch card frequent buyer' programs.  We appreciate any help in keeping a level playing field, feel free to report violations.  


Does a special order have to be a full case?


No.  You can order as little as one bottle, and you can mix cases.  There is an additional savings for single item full cases, just ask one of our team for details on placing special orders and full case pricing. 

If I've enjoyed a wine/beer/liqueur which is not on your shelves, can you order it for me?


Possibly, new items become available all the time and we are always willing to check availability with our suppliers.  Just ask one of our friendly team members.


Oklahoma law prohibits us from ordering directly from manufacturer.  A 'Broker' arranges to represent a product in this state and pays a fee to do so.  Broker sells the product to an Oklahoma Wholesaler who, in turn, sells it to us, who sells it to you.  If a broker does not exist in Oklahoma for a product, then it is unavailable.  If a product is availabe and in-stock, we can get it for you, sometimes overnight.  If a product is available but does not sell well, it will not remain available in Oklahoma.  So keep buying your favorite wine and spirits!
